How Sticks ‘n’ Sushi is wiping out data silos

Olivia Powell | 03/04/2022

Many businesses struggle to integrate data to a level that allows them to customize experiences to specific customer preferences and interests. CX Network research has found that 51 per cent of brands cite integrating data from diverse sources as their biggest customer data challenge, followed by struggling to manage data silos (47 per cent).

These two hurdles are intrinsically linked, with data silos existing because of the difficulty to connect separate internal and external data sources. This struggle generates incomplete customer data profiles and blurs the visibility a brand has when it attempts to tailor experiences to customer needs.

How Sticks 'n' Sushi is enhancing its data integration

Through its partnership with SevenRooms, Sticks 'n' Sushi has integrated all guest data across its venues into a shared database, eliminating data silos and allowing establishments to deliver a personalized and consistent customer experience across all premises.

The partnership has also enabled the restaurant to streamline its operations through an AI-powered algorithm. The automated system determines the best place to seat guests in real-time, allowing Sticks 'n' Sushi to create a more seamless experience and maximize the number of guests on its premises at any one time. This optimized capacity management drives more revenue for its venues and reduces staff workload.

Reflecting on the brand’s new capability to use its approved customer data to gain a deeper understanding of its guests, Andreas Karlsson, CEO at Sticks’n’Sushi said: “At Sticks’n’Sushi, we take pride in delivering excellent service to every one of our guests. Our [new] partnership allows us to elevate this even further and tailor our guests’ individual experiences to suit their personal preferences.”

By using guest data to implement targeted email marketing campaigns, Sticks’n’Sushi can also now target relevant audiences for special events, potentially boosting repeat business and profits.
