Ciaragh Hubert is Director of Accessibility at The Open University. She is leading the strategic direction to ensure that accessibility is built in from the start of everything that happens across the university. Before moving into Higher Education, Ciaragh spent 20 years in the retail sector with brands such as John Lewis, Argos, Homebase, and Sainsbury’s. She started her retail career on the shop floor, on the John Lewis Graduate Scheme, and has worked across a wide breadth of areas including Supply Chain, Sourcing, Supplier Management and Customer Experience.
Ensuring your customer strategy is rooted in accessibility has never been more important, or more accepted by companies across the board. The values a brand has can be reflected here, and the moral and legal obligation to provide access to vulnerable customers sits alongside the commercial sense of providing access to all potential customers.
